  2.                        ModemNews Operation
  3.                            ------------

  5. Open your copy of ModemNews into the subdirectory in which you
  6. normally run and/or save your ModemNews Magazine issues.  All you
  7. will need to do now (after you've read our included files) is to type
  8. NEWSxx (xx = issue number, i.e. NEWS45).  It is important that the
  9. following line reside in your CONFIG.SYS file;
  10.  
  11.                         DEVICE=ANSI.SYS
  12.  
  13.       If it does not, ModemNews will not function properly.
  14.  
  15.  
  16. While you're reading:
  17. --------------------
  18.  
  19. The following keys are active from any `menu' screen;
  20.  
  21. F1    = brings you a help screen that will give you most of this
  22.         information.
  23.  
  24. Q     = Will quit ModemNews from any menu screen and display our end
  25.         screens.
  26. R     = Will always return you to PageOne, our Main Menu.
  27.  
  28. I     = Instant Out Feature
  29.  
  30. The following keys are active while reading any article on you HOME PC.
  31.  
  32. F2    = Save current Article to disk.
  33.  
  34. D     = Page Down
  35.  
  36. U     = Page Up
  37.  
  38. B     = Go to First Page (beginning)
  39.  
  40. L     = Go to Last Page (last page)
  41.  
  42. ESC   = Quit reading article
  43.  
  44. Submissions to ModemNews may be made to any ModemNews NewsStand or
  45.                    directly to ModemNews OnLine.
